The nativity sets
Hi,
As I have promised in an earlier post, I will show you now something that I was working on intensively for some time. I mean the nativity sets. Unexpectedly almost week ago here we had a freezing weather, so what I'm going to present is perhaps very timely issue. :)
On the first photo is the Holy Family on wooden heart.
A here the side view.
The next four photos show two nativity set variants with the angels.
And here is a complete nativity set with the Three Kings and shepherd family.
And separately the Three Kings and shepherd family.

Is it a winter in my garden?
Welcome warmly!
Barely the autumn begun, and here came the freezing weather. It's something wrong with it I guess. But the plants wrapped in icy frost looked beautiful. However some asters got frostbitten. They are my favorite flowers, that I have a quite big collection in my garden :(
And now some photos from my garden in the autumn-winter edition.
It's a beautifully discolouring witch-hazel.
And here is a berberis.
And even larger berberis specimen.
A firethorn, that this year finally was covered with a lot of fruits.
And here is yellow firethorn.
Something from my aster collection.
The heathers covered a little with white.
A callicarpa bodinieri that is not very keen on a frost.
And the roses much more beautified by the frost.
And finally third angel complementing the Christmas set.

DIY Tutorial - how to make the painted Christmas tree
This time I'm going to present you how to make step by step the decorative Christmas tree.
You will need:
- The wooden Christmas tree.
- A white primer (gesso).
- The acrylic paints (green, black, purple, yellow, red, white).
- The thin round brush (for example, the size 1 or 2).
- The larger flat brush (for example, the size 10) for priming and painting the large surfaces.
- A water varnish.
- A glitter.
1. Priming.
Paint the tree with the white primer (gesso). This is not necessary, but using the primer makes the paint adhere better, and also the colors are more vivid.
2. Painting the tree.
Paint the tree using the green color.

3. Painting the branches and the gift background.
Using the thin round brush, paint the branches and the shapes of gifts.
4. Painting the details.
Paint the red dots and the details of gifts.
5. Painting the tree white color using "dry painting" method.
Paint the edges of tree white color using "dry painting" method. This method comes down to putting the dry larger flat brush in white paint, and then smudging it on the cardboard to remove the excess of paint. Next step is wiping the tree edges using the brush with white paint.
6. Varnishing and applying the glitter.
Varnish the tree, and then immediately put the glitter on it.
I wish you a successful and creative work :)

The Christmas angels
Welcome warmly!
I think already of Christmas time. Although it is only the beginning of autumn, from three weeks I paint the angels and nativity sets. The nativity sets I will show you other time. Today I'm starting with the angels. These wooden figurines are painted with the acrylic paints and varnished.
I hope you will like them.
And here the angels in the company of the Christmas trees I have painted.
